陳健群先生是廣東台山人,畢業於加拿大卡加利大學,現居於三藩市。六十年代隨香港嶺南派名家趙世光習畫,其間隨趙老師到嶺南藝苑拜訪趙少昂大師。聽其談藝,作畫示範,受益匪淺。所作花鳥、魚蟲、山水深得嶺南派神髓。寫動物走獸更生動傳神,功力非凡。
      陳先生曾任香港匡廬畫社社長、嶺風畫會會長、陳氏畫廊主持、SAN FRANCISCO ARTIST GUILD會員舊金山中華藝術學會副會長。現為中國廣東台山市美術協會榮譽會長、中國畫學會(美國)副會長、美國藝研雅集副會長、美國書畫藝術研究院副院長、北加州畫院副院長、香港今畫會會員、嶺風畫苑苑長。作品曾展於美國、加拿大、中國、台灣及香港等地。
Philip Chan graduated from University of Calgary, Canada. In the 1960s, he learned brush painting from the outstanding Lingnan artist Chiu Sai Kwong in Hong Kong. In the early 80s, he received instructions from Master Zhao Shao'ang. Chan's art excelled under the influence of Master Zhao. Chan imbues his flowers and birds, insects and fishes as well as animals with spirit, and his brushwork is full of vitality. He was the President of Hong Lo art club, Ling Fung Art Association, and Director of Chan's Art Studio , Vice President of Chinese Arts Association of San Francisco. Currently, Chan is the Honorary Chairman of The Arts Association of Tai Shan City, China. Vice President of Yl Yan Society, Chinese Art Association(USA), America Arts Research Institute, Northern California Arts Institute, Director of Ling Fung Art Studio, member of To-Day Art Association(HK). His work has been exhibited in the US, Canada, Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
